New features

Recent additions to the guide, with a direct route to the instructions.

Guide updated 3 November 2026. Mac stable 1.0.6 build 2236 and beta 1.0.7 build 2396 are available. Account access, permissions and platform still apply.

Read documents from connected chats

Ask idem to read a supported PDF or UTF-8 text attachment in a connected chat. Access and provider availability still apply. Other document formats are not automatically converted.

Read the instructions ↗

GitHub code review in chat

With a connected GitHub account, Mac stable 1.0.6 and newer can open a live GitHub review card, inspect checks and diffs, and request approval-gated fixes or a squash merge.

Work on your Mac

Eligible accounts on Mac stable 1.0.6 can act in apps, browse in idem’s separate Chrome profile and run approved long jobs. Your Mac must be available.

See the live words while taking notes

On Mac beta 1.0.10 build 2548, enable Settings → Meetings → Live transcript. Scroll back without losing your place, then use the arrow to return to the newest words. This optional display is local to the device.

Choose thinking effort

Mac 1.0.8 build 2448 (stable) adds supported thinking levels in the model selector. Auto offers Faster, Balanced and Thorough. More effort can increase cost; some models have no effort control.

Connections and safer edits on Windows

Windows beta 0.1.0 build 14 adds connection sheets, a Jobs sidebar and fuller file previews. Text edits detect a newer version before saving, so you can cancel rather than overwrite someone else’s work.

Understand your usage

Open Manage account → Usage details to see what used the allowance. idem appears as plan percentages; ChatGPT’s dollar figure is an estimate, not an invoice or an extra idem charge.

Get useful work done with idem.

Describe the result you want, give idem the relevant context, and review what it produces. Start with one task, then save or schedule what works.

→

Start here

Start with one real task. You do not need to learn the systems below first.

  1. Choose one task. Give the outcome, relevant context and any deadline.
  2. Connect only what it needs. Upload a document if you want to start without connecting an account.
  3. Run it once. Ask for a small result you can review.
  4. Check and correct it. Verify sources, missing details and proposed actions.
  5. Repeat only if useful. Ask to save the method or put it on a schedule.
Try saying
Every weekday at 9, review my email and WhatsApp for messages that need a reply. Draft responses using the relevant conversation history, and show me only what needs my attention. Do not send anything.
Open in idem
Try saying
Prepare me for tomorrow’s meetings using my calendar, recent messages and previous meeting notes. Include outstanding commitments and decisions to make, with source links.
Open in idem
Try saying
Keep track of the supplier delivery I’m waiting for. Check the email thread each weekday, flag any missed delivery date, and draft a follow-up when needed. Stop once delivery is confirmed. Ask before sending anything.
Open in idem

Open in idem starts a new conversation with the request ready to review. Connect the relevant accounts or share the sources, and identify the delivery you want tracked before sending.

Installing the iPhone beta: an idem invitation code is for signing up to idem, not for TestFlight’s Redeem field. Finish signup first, then return to Manage account and use the iPhone download button to open the TestFlight invitation.
Practice is not a real task: new accounts on Mac stable 1.0.6 see a short introduction before consent and notification setup. The example chat, login, meeting and approval use sample data. No real message is sent and no account is connected. Existing accounts that completed setup are not sent through it again.
Invite someone: ask idem about your remaining allowance or ask it to invite a specific email address. Personal invitations are one-use and email-bound. On Mac, find Invite friends under Settings › Account; on iPhone, use the card at the top of Settings; on Android, use the card at the top of Account. Team invitations are separate, require an owner or administrator and do not use the personal allowance. idem does not send invitations from scheduled jobs.
Mac update notice: beta 1.0.7 build 2282 can remember an Update & Restart click while its download finishes and show a spinning Installing indicator. The spinner is not a download-percentage meter, and restart may wait for meeting notes to end. Older installed versions may still ignore a click during download; the new behavior applies when updating from a version containing it.
Your profile picture: Manage account opens the account website. Under Profile picture, choose a JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF up to 10 MB. Selecting the file uploads it immediately; the image is cropped to a square. This is an account-web control, not a promise of a matching native Settings button.
Change your account email: open Manage account, then Change email beneath Profile picture. Enter the new address, open its confirmation email and confirm the change. The link is single-use and lasts 15 minutes; the existing chats, Files and account stay together. This is a web account control, not a new native Settings form. A check-inbox message alone does not mean the change is complete.
Current Mac channels: the stable download is 1.0.9 build 2521; the newer beta described below is 1.0.10 build 2548. A beta-only instruction does not establish the same behavior on an older installed app. Check your version before following a control that is missing.
Windows beta 0.1.0 build 19: the Windows app adds browser-view controls, richer interactive replies, background/tray operation, global shortcuts and Share to idem, alongside the connection sheets, Jobs and file controls available from build 14. Check the installed build first and use the Windows download offered in Manage account when your account has that option. The remote cloud computer is not your Windows desktop, and installing this app does not grant control of other Windows applications.
Android 0.3.3: the production release includes light appearance and a number of chat, account and meeting-control improvements. Update through Google Play, then check the installed version before following new controls. Features that require account access remain conditional, and a published release does not mean every device already installed it.

Connect a service

Connections give idem bounded access to services such as email, Calendar, Slack, Notion, Linear, Granola, and Stripe.

WhereConnections shows linked services. Each connection can also have a readable policy controlling how idem uses it.
Change itAsk to connect a service, use a particular account, change its policy, restrict access, or disconnect it.
Use it forReading authoritative data and taking bounded actions inside your existing tools.
Try saying
connect my Notion, then use my work account by default. ask before creating or deleting pages.
Open in idem
Personal and business WhatsApp are different connections. Link personal WhatsApp when idem should work with your existing chats. WhatsApp Business uses Meta’s Business platform and a business number; it does not connect your personal account. Neither turns WhatsApp into the place where you chat with idem.
Renaming a connection keeps its credentials. Ask idem to rename the existing connection file rather than copying it and deleting the original. The new filename becomes the tool name and cannot contain a colon.
Custom connection refused? Current Mac builds can explain the failed sign-in in the chat that requested it. If the server refuses the callback address, copy the exact address from that explanation to the server administrator. Nothing is connected yet. Retry only after the server configuration is corrected; another installed version may show an alert instead.
GitHub code review: with a GitHub connection, eligible account access and Mac stable 1.0.6, ask about a specific GitHub review to show a live card. Open it to inspect checks, review comments and changed files. Fix and push uses the existing review branch. A write action asks idem to prepare the change; it does not bypass approval. Squash and merge is offered only when checks, review and mergeability permit it. The card refreshes while visible and can retain its last data when a refresh fails.
Connecting in Mac 1.0.8 build 2448 (stable): after a chat card’s Connect button changes to Connecting…, wait for the sign-in handoff rather than tapping it again. The button stops spinning when the request returns, not when the entire consent is finished. If the app ends during the connection, reopen it: a received, still-valid sign-in attempt can reopen, or an interrupted-request alert asks you to tap Connect again. Cancelled or expired attempts are not restored. Finish consent and confirm the connection before relying on it; this is not a guarantee that every sign-in problem is repaired.
Documents in connected chats: ask idem to read a specific supported PDF or UTF-8 text attachment, then give the task, such as “Read the event organizer’s PDF and list the dates I need to confirm.” The messaging provider must still supply the file, the chat must be accessible, and size and format limits apply. Opening a chat does not automatically copy its attachments into your Files. If the provider no longer supplies the document or its format is unsupported, upload it directly instead. This is not automatic Word or spreadsheet conversion.
Windows beta 0.1.0 build 14 connections: open Settings → Connections to inspect linked integrations and messaging accounts. For integrations that require authorization, MCP consent opens in the default browser; WhatsApp uses its pairing code, Telegram its QR flow, LinkedIn a browser sign-in, and ChatGPT a device-code flow. Complete the required user authorization and confirm the connected state back in idem. A connection that is already present need not be added again. If a disconnect fails, its sheet stays open with the error. These controls do not bypass company access rules or turn another provider’s subscription into an API key.
Public hosted MCP connections: a public server can connect without a sign-in when it exposes valid MCP tools without authentication. Protected services still need their own authorization. A generic web page, health-check URL or empty tool list is not a usable MCP connection. A Connected → Return to idem page can finish a public connection even though no OAuth sign-in took place. Confirm the integration appears as connected before retrying, so you do not create unnecessary duplicates. Company access rules still apply.

Connect your ChatGPT account

Link your ChatGPT subscription through the ChatGPT connection control in your idem account settings. This is separate from connecting a service such as email or Notion.

  1. Start in idem. Open the ChatGPT connection control in account settings. idem displays a one-time code and an Open ChatGPT button.
  2. Authorize with ChatGPT. Select Open ChatGPT, sign in to the intended account and workspace, and enter the code when asked. Only approve a connection you just started yourself.
  3. Return to idem. Wait for ChatGPT connected. If the attempt expires, start again to get a fresh code.

Using a managed ChatGPT workspace?

Your workspace may block device-code sign-in. A workspace administrator can open ChatGPT workspace settings, go to General and enable Enable device code sign-in for Codex, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Then retry the connection in idem. The label mentions other products, but it is the device-code permission used by this sign-in flow.

Not a workspace administrator? Ask your administrator to review and enable that permission if it fits your organization’s policy. It changes a workspace sign-in permission, not an idem-only setting. Do not bypass your organization’s controls or share passwords or authentication files.

For a personal ChatGPT account, check the device-code sign-in option in ChatGPT’s Security settings instead. Menu wording can change; see OpenAI’s device-code sign-in instructions.

Connection help in the app: Mac beta 1.0.5 shows this workspace and personal-account guidance inside “Need help signing in?” on the connection and failure screens. Other installed versions may require this guide.
Whose allowance is used? connecting ChatGPT uses your own ChatGPT subscription’s allowance. OpenAI models on that connection use it before your idem allowance, without an additional idem usage charge for that path. This is not unlimited usage, does not make every model run through ChatGPT, and does not include access to ChatGPT Projects or conversation history.

Approvals

Sensitive actions can pause for your approval. Review the recipient, content and effect before approving. Standing permissions may change which actions ask first.

WhereApproval cards appear in the conversation with the recipient, content, attachment, or action being proposed.

Open in idem
Archiving the open chat: on Mac beta 1.0.5 build 2119, idem opens the next visible sidebar conversation, or the previous one when nothing is below it. Bulk archive still opens a new chat.
Previous loop runs: in current Apple builds, choosing an earlier fire from Previous runs loads older messages if needed, scrolls to that run and highlights it. The checkmark follows the selected run.
Dictation is editable: composer dictation removes common hesitation sounds and some false starts, but names, numbers and meaning still need your review before sending. Uploaded voice notes also receive text cleanup. Meeting-note transcripts stay verbatim, and live voice uses a separate path.
Open another chat: if you explicitly ask idem to open a separate chat now, it asks you to approve the action. The new chat starts with your request as a visible first message, then answers there; the whole history is not copied. Declining creates no new chat. Scheduled jobs cannot use this action. The manual New chat control remains available.
React or reply to a part: on Mac beta 1.0.7 build 2384, right-click an idem reply for reactions, Reply, Copy and Pin, or use its Copy and React hover buttons. Other Emoji opens the full selector. Swiping right also replies. These reply controls no longer need separate account enablement, but the installed client must support them. On a compatible iPhone build, use long-press or swipe-right. A reaction is not a substitute for a payment, send or other approval card.
Copy a bubble or the whole answer, Mac 1.0.8 build 2448 (stable): replies now always use message bubbles; the old Replies as messages switch is gone. Right-click and use Copy for the pressed bubble, or Copy full response for the entire reply when it contains more. Tables and code keep their own presentation. Reply still quotes the selected passage. A queued message can be edited only after its withdrawal is confirmed.
Android internal testers: first use a build verified to launch. On a working updated testing build, long-press an idem reply for its actions or swipe to quote. With reactions enabled, select text from the lifted card rather than the original reply. Pull the sidebar to reveal search, hold New chat to start meeting notes, and open the conversation title for pins. Named helpers have a read-only transcript. If controls are missing, check the installed build and account access before reconnecting anything. These changes are not yet confirmed in the general Play release.
Mac beta 1.0.7 build 2357: while idem works, Cmd+Enter sends a correction that interrupts the current run; ordinary Enter keeps its existing send-or-queue behavior. Review the draft before interrupting. For eligible Mac computer access, you can also ask idem to read what you copied, including an image, or put plain text on your clipboard. The clipboard grant covers both reads and writes on that Mac. Password-manager values marked private are not read, and copied files expose paths rather than their contents.
Thinking effort in Mac 1.0.8 build 2448 (stable): open the new-chat model pill or the chat’s model selector. Supported models show a stepped effort control; Auto offers Faster, Balanced and Thorough. The chat’s choice can differ from the next new chat’s default, and unsupported levels fall back to that model’s default. More effort can increase time and cost. Ordinary scheduled jobs without an explicit effort setting use their model’s default, while conversation loops use their chat’s effort. No job settings change merely because you read this guide.
Appearance in Mac 1.0.8 build 2448 (stable): choose System, Dark or Light with the Theme control in Settings. System follows the operating system. This preference is local to the device, unlike account-level choices; accent colors remain a separate setting.
Mac 1.0.8 build 2448 (stable) voice shortcuts: more saved key combinations can match while the chat is in front, including on the fallback key-input path without Input Monitoring. Keep microphone permission enabled and check which chat has focus before speaking. This does not promise a global shortcut in every app, nor a repair for every voice issue.
Inspect a finished reply, Mac beta 1.0.9 build 2456: click its completed work-summary line, such as “6 tool calls”, to open the calls beneath it. Click again to collapse them. This inspects the recorded work; it does not repeat an action or grant a new permission.
Inline writing in Mac beta 1.0.9 build 2456: eligible fields can show the idem hint and Option keycaps until you first use the shortcut. Settings → Computers → Inline writing has a local on/off switch. Turning it off stops the hint, polling and shortcut listener and closes a pending request box. Accessibility permission and eligible app/field support are still required; a hint is not permission to read or replace every field.
Voice notes on Windows beta 0.1.0 build 13: allow Windows microphone access and use the composer microphone. Click to lock a recording, or hold and release to send. Stop and edit lets you review the text before sending; Discard cancels it. Settings → Sound & Voice holds Speak responses and the editable push-to-talk shortcut, initially Ctrl+D. Push-to-talk requires the chat window in front; moving it to the background cancels the held note. Microphone or transcription errors need resolving before retrying, not repeated sends.
Spoken replies across devices: when the sending session identifies its device, a voice note’s audio is routed to that device; the written reply still appears on the other devices with the chat open. Sessions without a device identifier retain the older multi-device playback, including the current Windows beta and potentially an iPhone’s first connection just after sign-in. Multiple open windows on the same device can also play it. Before a private voice test, close the other open chat or turn off Speak responses there where available. Reconnecting is not a way to replay old speech.
Pins and copying on Windows beta 0.1.0 build 13: right-click a settled message or text part of a reply and choose Pin. The chat header’s pin count opens the list; choose an item to jump to it or Unpin to remove the pin. Incognito chats and subagent transcripts do not offer these pins. Windows Copy takes selected text, unlike the Mac’s bubble Copy; Copy full response is the way to take the whole answer.
Inspect file work on Windows beta 0.1.0 build 14: click a completed file read to open the file. Click a completed write or edit row to inspect its change sheet and line differences. Inspection is not another write. Shared-file conflict protection depends on the saving client checking a revision; it is not a promise that all edits from every client are automatically merged.
Mac 1.0.9 build 2521 or later computer permissions: a compatible app/helper uses one computer-control approval for apps, screen access, mouse and keyboard, while file access stays separate by folder and action: read, create, replace or move to Trash. This chat and Always have different durations. Older app/helper versions may ask separately. When you explicitly ask idem to use your screen, supported foreground control keeps the app visible and pauses for questions or approvals. Control–Option–Command cancels the control overlay. macOS permissions and an online Mac are still required; a broad computer-control grant is not unlimited disk access.
Spoken replies on Mac 1.0.9 build 2521 or later: a device with no saved Speak responses preference starts with it off. An existing saved On or Off choice is preserved rather than reset. Check the setting on the device you will use before a voice demonstration; installing an update does not turn an existing On choice off.
Windows beta 0.1.0 build 19 in the background: with Settings → Meetings → Meeting notes on, closing the last window leaves idem in the notification area; Quit idem in that menu exits it. Turning Meeting notes off makes the last window quit and disables Start with Windows. Ctrl+Alt+Space opens a new chat and Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Space starts Talk from another app. Settings → Meetings has shortcut presets and reports a combination held by another app. These global shortcuts are separate from the foreground Ctrl+D push-to-talk control. Share to idem opens a fresh chat with the shared text in its draft or files attached; it does not send the draft automatically.
Long chats in Mac beta 1.0.10 build 2548: older history loads as you scroll upward, so an initial view is not the full conversation. Chat switching and live resizing have targeted performance improvements, not a promise of a particular frame rate or removal of every delay. During a live resize a row can briefly keep its previous width before reflowing. Pin, reaction and copy actions can depend on the message and account; use only the actions actually offered, and report a control that does nothing rather than assuming its state was saved.

Troubleshooting

Missing recent messages?

Check the connected account, permitted chats and the newest source message idem can actually read. Older history may not be synced; a reconnect may be needed. An empty result is not proof that nobody replied.

Try saying
Check why you cannot see the latest messages in this chat. Verify the account, access and freshness, and give me the exact recovery step.
Open in idem

A scheduled task did not run?

Ask for its schedule, timezone, latest run result and pending approvals. Cloud jobs do not require your device to stay awake, but a step needing a local file or human sign-in may still be blocked.

Try saying
Inspect the scheduled task I name. Show its timezone, next run, last result and any blocker or pending approval.

TestFlight asks for a code?

Do not enter the idem invitation code in TestFlight. That code belongs to idem signup. Complete signup, return to Manage account and use the iPhone download button to open the TestFlight invitation.

Asked to sign in again?

Sessions can expire. A website may require a new-device check, passkey or human verification. Use the secure sign-in flow, not a password pasted into chat.

Where is the result?

Read the completion message for the file link or external confirmation. Ask whether idem only prepared a draft or actually completed the action.

Try saying
Show me the result of the task I name: the file or draft, where it was saved, and evidence of any external action completed.

The same mistake keeps happening?

Ask idem to change the saved instruction controlling the behavior, not just rewrite this answer.

Try saying
Find the saved instruction causing this repeated mistake, correct it, and show me the changed file.

Browser work in an incognito chat?

Use a regular chat for browser and Live View work for now. Incognito browser sessions and app switching have known reliability problems. Some bot-sensitive sites can still block the cloud browser completely; a blocked page is not evidence about the account or task. For an ordinary HTTP 403, idem retries once through a residential route before giving up.

Try saying
Retry this browser task in a regular chat. If the site blocks the cloud browser or its sign-in handoff, stop and give me the smallest reliable alternative.
Open in idem
A form answer seems to disappear? Older Apple builds can send a card answer from the first chat after launch to a separate chat. Mac beta 1.0.7 build 2282 includes a session-routing correction. Before submitting again, check the conversation list so you do not duplicate work. On an older build, start a chat explicitly with New chat before asking for a new form.
Android closes immediately? Check the installed app version and testing track with support. An updated internal build includes the launch correction, but verify that your installed build opens before demonstrating it. Do not clear app data or uninstall as a first troubleshooting step. A testing-track update does not establish a change to the general Play release.
An answer or approval appears stuck? Current service updates address cases where a submitted card answer did not resume while other work waited. Check for a visible error and inspect the saved conversation before submitting again. A model that is no longer available must be replaced with an available model; repeating the same decision does not fix that setting.
Help improve idem: on the newer Mac build, the privacy wording distinguishes diagnostic traces from product analytics. Turning diagnostic sharing off is not an opt-out from all operational or product telemetry. Review the displayed privacy controls and policy for the platform you use; do not assume another platform sends exactly the same information.

Passwords and Vault

Do not paste passwords, API keys, authenticator setup keys or payment details into chat. Use the secure input card when idem needs a credential.

Approve a specific use

The access request names the saved value and where it will be used. Review both. Prefer one-time access when you do not want a continuing permission.

Save or use temporarily

The secure card can offer saving in Vault or using the value only for the current task. The assistant uses a protected reference rather than seeing the secret.

Update a login

Ask to update the saved login, then enter the new value through the secure card. Never include it in your request.

Revoke access

Ask to revoke standing approval for a saved value. Revoking future access is different from deleting the value or undoing an action already completed.

Use a passkey

idem can use a passkey saved in Vault to sign in to its own site, without seeing or typing the private key. Where supported, idem can also add its own passkey after you sign in; your existing passkeys keep working.

Save a sign-in code

For an authenticator-app login, Vault can keep the site’s setup key and generate future codes. Enter the setup key through the secure card, not a current six-digit code and never ordinary chat.

Try saying
Show me which saved login is used for this service and help me update it securely.
Open in idem
Temporary limitation: automatic raw-secret leak warnings are currently disabled while false positives are corrected. Known-secret masking and Vault placeholder rules still apply, but they do not make ordinary chat a safe place for credentials. Keep using secure Vault cards.
Clearer Vault items: on Mac stable 1.0.6, cards show the item, vault and value count, then leave a human receipt after your decision. Vault settings group values as items and keep one activity timeline. On iPhone, a login can add an authenticator setup key or scan its setup QR code.
Two-step setup: on Mac stable 1.0.6, open a login item and follow Turn on two-step sign-in. Enable it at the site, give the secure setup flow the key or QR image, then enter the generated code at the site and confirm acceptance. Sign-in-code timers show when a displayed code expires. Deleting an item removes its saved values too, so review that decision carefully.
Android testing differences: the updated internal build includes guided two-step sign-in, site-labelled items, code-expiry timers and whole-item deletion. Saved passkey items are read-only on Android in this build. Do not assume that viewing a passkey means it can be added or used through every Android flow.
Keyboard input in Mac beta 1.0.7 build 2357: Tab and Shift-Tab move through the Vault card’s fields without jumping to sidebar Search. At either end focus stays in that field; it does not wrap or move to Continue. Return does not submit the card. Show/Hide and returning to a secret field keep the stored value; use Continue when all fields are ready.
08

Websites and sign-in

When no connection exists, idem can operate a cloud browser or call a service's API. Credentials stay outside chat and model context.

BrowserUseful for websites without an API. Sessions persist in the cloud, not on your local computer. idem can follow a new tab a page opens, switch between tabs and close one when it is finished.
Sign-inUse a saved Vault login, saved passkey or the secure input card. If a site offers password, passkey, Google or SSO, idem chooses from your saved preference or asks which route and account to use. A passkey is site-bound and never typed as text.
Multi-step workFor a task that needs several actions, idem can inspect the visible browser or cloud-computer screen and run one bounded task. It stops before send, pay, publish or delete unless you asked for that exact final action.
Your MacWhen local-computer access is available, idem can use Mac-only files, the screen or an installed app. App control requires a per-app idem grant and may also trigger the normal macOS Automation prompt. When two Macs have the same name, current Mac beta builds show a short identifier after each label so idem can address the right device.
Human stepUse the live view for a captcha, passkey, device confirmation or other step that only you can complete. The browser and cloud-computer screen show the same task session when that capability is available.
Try saying
can you check this admin panel every morning? first find out whether it has an integration or API. use the browser only if neither works.
Open in idem
Browser recovery: popup sign-ins now keep the opener relationship they need and return to the right tab when the popup closes. A main-page HTTP 403 retries once through a residential route. For a simple Cloudflare checkbox, idem can click it, retry once with the proxy and then ask you through Live View if it persists. Puzzles and bot-sensitive sites can still require another route.
Your Mac, with permission: eligible accounts on Mac stable 1.0.6 build 2236 can read an app’s visible text using Accessibility. macOS may list the permission under idem Helper. Terminal commands require a specific working folder and a This chat or Always grant. Commands run in a sandbox with a 20-second limit; files inside the granted folder are not protected from those commands, and network access remains possible. Scheduled Mac commands require Always and a reachable Mac. Use the cloud computer for longer isolated work.
App actions and local browsing: eligible accounts on Mac stable 1.0.6 can let idem click or type in an app after observing its current interface. Stale elements require another observation. Bringing an app to the front needs permission; press Escape to stop. Local web work uses idem’s separate Chrome profile on your Mac, not your normal browser profile. If that Mac becomes unavailable, idem reports the failure rather than silently switching to the cloud browser; ask explicitly to switch back.
Whole-app tasks on a capable Mac beta 1.0.7 build 2384: ask for one outcome in one app, such as adding a labelled alarm. Idem can carry out the steps together, asking for app access or a brief foreground handoff where required. Your Mac must be reachable and account access enabled. Missing values or a final action it was not asked to perform stop the task. This whole-task flow does not accept Vault values; secrets use the normal protected sign-in controls instead.
Windows beta 0.1.0 build 19 browser view: the browser pill opens a preview or its full browser window. Web pages can ask for files, dates, times or an option. If the file picker does not open immediately, use The page asks for a file → Choose, or Not now to decline. Choosing a file can send it to the page, so check the destination first. The view may show a remote cloud computer; this is not access to your Windows desktop. Sign-in and site permissions still require the appropriate authorization.

Meeting notes

On current iPhone and Mac releases, idem can transcribe a meeting without joining the call as a participant. Android availability depends on the installed version.

StartChoose Take notes or the meeting-notes control shown on your device. On Mac, Settings › Meetings chooses whether controls appear in the notch or menu bar. Mac can capture call audio and your microphone; phones record an in-room meeting through the microphone.
DuringYou can pause, resume or stop. A long silence may show a warning before recording stops automatically. Microphone features such as dictation or live voice are unavailable while notes are recording.
Screen sharingOn Mac stable 1.0.4, Settings › Meetings includes Hide when sharing your screen. It keeps the card and notch controls out of many shares and hides status marks from the menu item, but the capturing app decides whether to honor it.
Resultidem saves the transcript in Files and opens a conversation for the recap, decisions and follow-up. You can correct speaker names when you know them.
The screen-share setting is best effort: QuickTime ignores the exclusion and Zoom needs its window-filtering mode. Meeting audio is sent to the transcription provider for processing. Check your account’s privacy information and obtain any consent required before recording.
Call-end confirmation: on Mac stable 1.0.6, five seconds after the call app releases the microphone, idem asks “Looks like the call ended. Stop taking notes?” A 15-second Stop countdown runs while Keep going leaves the notes active. Settings › Meetings › Call detection can use Start and end, Start only, End only or Off.
Live cues: eligible accounts on Mac stable 1.0.6 can see brief answer, fact or correction cards while notes run. Settings › Meetings controls Live cues; you can ask to turn them off for this meeting only. Cue lookups are read-only. Sharing feedback can send the card and surrounding transcript to the idem team, so review the feedback notice first. This is separate from recording and does not grant access to native phone-call history.
Android live-cue testing: the meeting controls can move with the installed testing version. Earlier builds use a separate notes screen; newer implementations place the recording controls at the top of the meeting chat. Settings › Meetings controls cues. Use only a build verified to launch, and do not assume a testing change has reached the general Play release or that a notification is guaranteed.
Mac beta 1.0.7 build 2357, eligible live cues: clicking elsewhere closes call controls without immediately dismissing a shown cue. A cue normally lasts up to 20 seconds and hovering can keep it visible; clicking the menu-bar item explicitly still closes it. A sparkle marks preparation, not a promise of a finished card. In the meeting chat, click a cue’s quote to inspect the preceding context and open the transcript. Feedback goes to the idem team and is optional. These Mac instructions do not establish a particular iPhone TestFlight build’s availability.
Meeting times, Mac 1.0.8 build 2448 (stable): use Settings › Meetings › Meeting times. This is now an account setting, on by default; a previous Mac off preference can carry over. The next-hour countdown includes timed events without a call link and excludes all-day, cancelled and declined events. Join appears only when the event has a link. Automatic meeting prompts still require their supported call-link and attendee conditions. Active notes and prompts take priority. In Discard these notes?, the X keeps the notes.
Mac and iPhone meeting times are not identical: the next-event countdown is a Mac feature, not an iPhone Lock Screen or Dynamic Island reminder. On a compatible iPhone, Meeting times instead concerns the end of a calendar meeting that idem is taking notes of, including its ten- and five-minute reminders. This does not let the iPhone record the audio of a phone call. In Mac 1.0.8 build 2448 (stable), the end-of-meeting card’s X closes that card at once; closing the earlier reminder does not suppress the later one.
Mac beta 1.0.9 build 2456 moves the upcoming countdown: the next event’s time and optional name are in the menu bar only, even if the notes controls are in the notch. The notch still handles active notes and end-of-meeting cards. Under Settings → Meetings → Meeting times, Event name is on by default and local to this Mac; Meeting times itself remains account-level. Long names shorten, but the time remains visible. Older stable builds can still put the upcoming countdown in the notch.
Live transcript, Mac beta 1.0.10 build 2548: Settings → Meetings → Live transcript is off by default and local to this device. While notes run, the words appear in the notch or menu-bar notes controls. Scroll up to review earlier lines; the view stops following new words until you use the return-to-newest arrow. Partial words can change as speech is finalized. This temporary live display clears at Stop, Discard and the next start; use the saved meeting transcript afterward. It does not add words to the Lock Screen or grant a new recording permission. Silence or a gap in this display does not prove no speech was captured.

Missions and parallel work

Most requests should remain ordinary conversations. idem can use longer-running structures when the volume genuinely requires them.

Mission

For work that needs hours, idem can propose an objective, checkable completion criteria and a live plan. You approve the mission before it starts. While it runs, open the mission sheet to inspect progress or stop it. Older clients may hide the composer; current builds keep it available when the mission needs your answer or approval. It continues until the criteria are met, it is blocked or you stop it. On Mac stable 1.0.5, each mission also has a private folder, proof files and a review flow for resuming it from another chat.

Subagents

idem can delegate independent parts of one request to parallel workers. The parent conversation remains responsible for user questions, permissions and consequential external actions. There is no fixed child-count cap, but idem should create only the independent workers the task actually needs.

Try saying
Audit the records I provide against these criteria. If the volume genuinely needs hours, propose a mission with checkable completion criteria first. Use parallel workers only for independent parts, and keep approvals in this conversation.
Open in idem
Do not use a mission for a normal task that should finish in minutes. A mission can wait for a known external time, but a human-only blocker is reported rather than hidden. Review the objective, criteria and assumptions before starting. On Mac stable 1.0.6 the composer remains available while a mission waits for an approval or answer, so you can correct it instead of stopping first. Mission folders, proof and cross-chat resumes require a current Mac beta or another client version that explicitly includes them.

Background computer job

For a render, build or other command that takes more than a few minutes, idem can start a background job, check or stop it later, and keep the cloud computer awake. A mission can wait for the job and continue when it ends.

Mission notifications: on Mac stable 1.0.6, intermediate waits and subagent results do not play the completion sound or send ordinary progress pushes. The mission alerts when it finishes or becomes blocked and needs you. Approval, Vault, usage and recovery checkpoints can still appear while it runs.
Long jobs on your own Mac: eligible accounts on Mac stable 1.0.6 with a compatible helper can start approved background commands and check or stop them later. Up to four can run in one conversation. They use the same approved-folder sandbox as short commands. A mission can wait for completion, but a restart or lost process can end the job; this is not an always-on cloud service. Scheduled Mac work still requires standing permission and an available Mac.
Cloud-computer recovery: do not run system reboot or shutdown commands inside its terminal. Ask idem for its supported recovery path. A controlled restart ends running programs, including other tasks using that computer, and temporary files may disappear. If a missing computer must be replaced, its old disk is not guaranteed recoverable. Keep important results in idem Files rather than only on the workbench.

Their duplicate toolbar icons are removed; Manage access and editing controls stay separate. A reply image or a file-change card can use different controls from the file viewer.

Share a file

Private file

A file created in your private workspace is not automatically public. Files created in an already-shared folder follow that folder’s access.

Public link

Anyone with the link can open it. Check the contents for personal or confidential information before asking for a public link.

Share with a person

Ask to share a specific file with an idem user by email, with read-only or edit access. Sharing one file does not share its surrounding folder.

Review access

Name the file and ask who can access it or how to stop sharing. Do not assume deleting a chat removes a public link or a recipient’s copy.

Try saying
Help me share this file with a specific person. Ask for their email and whether they need read-only or edit access. Do not make it public.
Open in idem
Updates at the same public link: after idem edits a shared file, reopen or reload its existing link to request the current page and referenced assets. An already-open page does not refresh itself automatically. Stopping sharing prevents future access through that link; it cannot erase copies somebody already downloaded.
Continue in idem is a handoff, not an automatic save: a supported link opens the installed idem app and prepares text in its composer. Review it and press Send yourself. A button on a page does not prove that its selections reached the conversation or were saved. If the app does not open, copy the relevant text into the chat instead.

Folder search in Mac beta 1.0.7 build 2384: use Search files and folders, then open a folder hit to expand it in the Files tree. Empty and shared folders can appear; symlinks to directories are not included. Arrow keys and Enter follow the visible results. This does not establish the same behavior on Android.
Windows beta 0.1.0 build 13 file transfers: choose Download… from a file or folder row menu. Windows asks for the destination first; a folder or a batch uses a destination folder. A taken name gets “ (2)” rather than replacing the existing file. Drop files or folders from File Explorer onto the target folder in Files, or paste copied files with Ctrl+V, to upload them; individual uploads are limited to 25 MB. Dragging within Files moves items there. Dropping a Files row onto the chat inserts its path into the draft, not a download. If a large folder drag fails, use Download… instead. Preview and editing controls depend on the installed build and file type; not every preview is editable.
Windows beta 0.1.0 build 14 previews and text edits: open a file for PDF pages, images, CSV/TSV tables, code or media; HTML opens in your default browser. For editable text, choose Edit, then Save or Ctrl+S. If the file changed after you opened it, Reload replaces your draft with the newer file, Overwrite replaces that newer file, and Cancel keeps your draft. Cancel first if you need to compare or copy your changes. Closing an unsaved edit also asks what to keep. Read-only locations, running mission folders and unsupported or truncated content are not offered as ordinary text edits. PDF previews do not support text selection or find; a table preview is not a spreadsheet editor.

Pricing and usage

Check Manage account for the price, billing period and usage options that apply to your account. Check whether AI usage is included in the plan shown for your account, which models use a connected subscription, and which spending limits apply. Do not assume every account has the same terms.

Check before connecting an account

Use the ChatGPT connection instructions, including the workspace administrator step if device-code sign-in is blocked. Confirm your account’s supported plan and limits before relying on it.

Check usage and terms

Where idem-provided usage is available, review the remaining allowance, reset date and plan terms in Manage account. Check the amount and effective date before confirming a plan change; the options shown depend on your account.

Try saying
Explain the subscription and AI usage options available in my account, including the included allowance and reset date. Flag anything you cannot verify.
Open in idem
Business checkout details: where the billing country and tax type are supported, subscription checkout can collect an optional business tax identifier and legal name. Personal customers can pay without one. A saved tax identifier may mean the field is not shown again. This does not automatically correct previously issued invoices or guarantee support for every local identifier. Check the checkout summary before paying.
Upgrading during a trial: on a trial with no card on file, Start paid plan opens Stripe Checkout even while trial usage remains. Completing payment ends the free trial, charges the plan shown there immediately, starts a fresh allowance and renews on the payment day. A trial that already has a card follows its existing trial-end terms; use Manage billing to review or cancel. Read the account-specific summary before paying. Team and preserved plans can differ.
Read the payment action, not just the selected plan: Manage account shows the amount and when the change starts before you submit. During a trial, Start paid plan is the paid-start action; cancellation stays in Manage billing. Selecting a plan that would change nothing can be disabled. Do not look for the former overage-cap form, and do not infer your current price from an older example.
Usage in Mac 1.0.8 build 2448 (stable): Settings shows the usage-plan allowance and its reset or end date rather than the old overage-limit summary. At 80% or 95% used, a small line appears above the composer; at the higher threshold it can include the reset or end date. It is not a notification or a hard stop. The line is absent in a trial, without a usage pool, and once usage is exhausted, when the refusal takes its place.
Usage details: open Manage account and choose Usage details on the plan card. The idem section shows percentages of that period’s allowance, broken down by area and model; expand Jobs and Missions to inspect their individual items. The denominator includes allowance added by upgrades. If an older period had no granted allowance, the page labels its figures as shares of usage instead. Daily columns use UTC. Period arrows let you inspect earlier periods.
ChatGPT’s dollar estimate is not your bill: the separate ChatGPT section estimates calls using API price-book rates. It is not what you paid for a ChatGPT subscription, not a new idem inference charge, and not a measurement of money saved. It can be absent when there is no connection or usage to show. Compare the correct period and section before drawing a cost conclusion.

Timing matters: jobs are best for time-based work. They run on a schedule, so do not use them when something must happen instantly after an external event.
Scheduled notifications: normal notifying jobs can alert you when they deliver a result, including a later result after approval or delegated work. Quiet-by-default jobs keep routine results silent but can still flag an important result for notification. Approval, question and Vault cards can notify independently. A saved answer inside the app is not proof a device received a push; check the installed version, notification permission and Focus settings. Device delivery and live-watching suppression still apply.
Windows beta 0.1.0 build 14 Jobs: expand Jobs in the sidebar to see each job’s readable name, unread or running state, approval needs and schedule. Select a job to open its newest run; a job that has never run shows No runs yet and its schedule. Archived Jobs has its own group. Custom connections

MCP is a standard that lets services expose tools to an assistant.

Hosted MCP

Usually connects through a link and OAuth. A custom server needs a reachable remote URL and compatible authentication.

Local MCP

Eligible accounts on Mac beta 1.0.7 build 2357 can use configured MCP servers through the Mac helper while that Mac is online. Discovery starts no server; using one asks for permission for that server. Local servers run with your Mac user’s access, not in a sandbox, and scheduled use needs an Always grant. A cloud connection alone cannot reach a localhost-only server.

Start with a real outcome.

Browse workflows by category, from sales and marketing to fitness and everyday planning. Each starts with one real task, clear sources and permissions, and a definition of done.

When it runs

Choose a category first, then search for a task or narrow by when it runs. Workflows are arranged by category; proactive, scheduled and on-demand describe timing, not the purpose of the work.

These are starting requests, not guarantees that every source is available. idem will ask for missing context or access. Proactive checks run on an agreed cadence, not instantly when an external event happens. Review drafts before external actions; approval requirements depend on your permissions.

Open in idem prepares a new chat; it does not send the request.

Document retrieval and delivery

Find the correct document and get it ready for the recipient who needs it.

View workflow ↓
How it works

Searches the approved source, verifies the document’s identity and version, and prepares a minimal message with the right attachment. You review the destination and content before sending; the completion record distinguishes retrieved, prepared, sent and acknowledged.

What it needs

The document you need, its approved source, the recipient, deadline and exact permission to disclose it.

Example

Retrieve a current supplier certificate from email and prepare it for the purchasing contact before an upcoming appointment.

Limits and approvals

Recipient and attachment checks are mandatory. Sensitive documents stay private; include only necessary content. Sent does not mean received or processed, and delivery needs your authorization.

Try saying
Find the document I specify in my approved files or email and verify the current version. Prepare a short delivery message to the recipient I name, with the right attachment and no unnecessary personal information. Show the destination and attachment for review. Availability watch

Stop rechecking an unavailable item while keeping the purchase decision yours.

View workflow ↓
How it works

First verifies a readable source for the exact product, variant and delivery region. Checks it on an agreed cadence and reports a material stock change with current price and source evidence. Prepares a purchase option only after rechecking the seller and terms.

What it needs

The exact item or variant, seller, location, acceptable price and how often to check. Define when the watch should stop.

Example

Watch for a replacement part in the required size, notify you when the seller has it and show the current offer before any order.

Limits and approvals

A proposed watch pattern, not a guarantee of instant alerts or reserved stock. Source access must be tested before monitoring starts. No purchase, substitution or payment is authorized by an availability request.

Try saying

Meeting preparation

Arrive with the relationship context, unresolved commitments and questions worth asking.

View workflow ↓
How it works

Combines the event with recent correspondence, prior notes and accessible background on the counterpart. For a recruiter call, connects the role requirements to your actual experience and previous exchanges. Produces a concise brief with open commitments, questions to ask, relevant evidence and source links.

What it needs

The calendar event and accessible messages or notes. For an interview, add the job description and your CV; specify which meetings merit preparation.

Example

Before a screening call, review what the recruiter has already asked, the company context and the gaps you want to clarify about the role.

Limits and approvals

Missing history is flagged. Suggested answers must reflect real experience; no qualifications, prior agreement or knowledge about the interviewer is invented.

Try saying

Meeting follow-up

Turn meeting notes into an actionable recap and a clean project record.

View workflow ↓
How it works

Extracts decisions, owners, dates and promised materials from a transcript or supplied notes. Separates commitments from suggestions, cleans up formatting and prepares a consistent project record alongside an optional follow-up draft.

What it needs

The notes or transcript, a project name, any existing template and your chosen destination. Supply previous correspondence if a recap is needed; direct filing requires verified access to the destination.

Example

Turn a rough meeting summary into a clean Word document with decisions, actions and open questions, ready for review and filing in the relevant project folder.

Limits and approvals

Do not invent agreements, owners or deadlines. Prepare a reviewable file first if direct access to a notes app or shared repository is unavailable. Sending, updating records and uploading or replacing shared documents are separate authorized actions.

Try saying

Shift-pattern comparison

Choose a rota that fits your commitments, not just the most days off.

View workflow ↓
How it works

Compares supplied shift patterns against must-have constraints and ranked preferences. Shows conflicts, rest days and relevant overlaps in a side-by-side comparison, then explains the best fit and any trade-offs.

What it needs

The available rotas, their dates and timezone, fixed commitments, and which preferences are essential versus negotiable.

Example

Compare three rota options for a season, prioritizing a fixed evening class and occasional long weekends.

Limits and approvals

A recommendation does not select a rota with your employer or change a calendar. Missing dates remain unknown; check employer rules and the original schedule before deciding.

Try saying

View workflow ↓
How it works

Combines today’s calendar with relevant messages and open commitments. Produces a compact agenda, material changes and three suggested priorities, with links back to the sources and explicit blockers.

What it needs

Your calendar, chosen message sources, active commitments and the local delivery time.

Example

At 7:30 on weekdays, see the first meeting, the response you owe and the deadline most likely to slip.

Limits and approvals

Only connected or supplied sources are covered. Priorities are recommendations, and missing access is stated.

Weekly review

View workflow ↓
How it works

Compares the week’s plans with evidence in tasks, messages and notes. Returns completed work, outstanding commitments, blockers and next week’s known obligations, separating confirmed outcomes from reported progress.

What it needs

The task list or plan to review, supporting sources and a weekly delivery time.

Example

On Friday, identify three unfinished commitments and decide which to carry forward, delegate or drop.

Limits and approvals

It does not treat a draft as a completed send or a task label as proof of delivery. No task records change automatically.

View workflow ↓
How it works

Reviews current release notes and customer-facing documentation. Produces a short briefing with changed behavior, demo steps, platform differences and practical limitations, checking whether the feature is available to the intended account.

What it needs

Customer-facing release notes and documentation, the intended demo audience and desired review schedule.

Example

Before a sales demo, identify a new control, how to show it and whether it is actually available to the account.

Limits and approvals

A product announcement does not establish availability for every account or platform. Check the intended environment before promising or demonstrating a feature.

Try saying

Customer feedback

See recurring customer problems without mistaking message volume for prevalence.

View workflow ↓
How it works

Groups feedback from approved sources into bugs, requests and onboarding difficulties. Counts distinct customers, links representative evidence and identifies where apparently similar complaints have different underlying causes.

What it needs

The feedback sources, period, relevant product context and a way to identify distinct customers.

Example

Find which onboarding blockers affected multiple accounts this month and separate them from repeated messages by one person.

Limits and approvals

Does not infer customer-wide frequency from incomplete sources. No engineering fix or roadmap commitment is made.

Try saying

Job applications

View workflow ↓
How it works

Reads a job URL, pasted description or a completed sourcing batch. Deduplicates roles, checks the full batch against your criteria and researches company context before ranking. For approved roles, creates a tailored CV and cover letter in the requested language, with a reviewable tracker and original links.

What it needs

An accurate master CV, role and company criteria, a job source, output language and document-format requirements.

Example

Review a daily job feed, reject unsuitable roles, compare the remaining employers and prepare a PDF CV plus cover letter for your chosen applications.

Limits and approvals

Preserves rejected roles and separates shortlisted, approved, package-ready and applied states. Missing descriptions or files stay explicit. Preparation alone never means an application was submitted.

Try saying

What it needs

The role, start date, team documentation, setup requirements and people responsible for each step.

Example

Prepare a new support hire’s first week, including access requests, shadowing sessions and a bounded first assignment.

Limits and approvals

No invitations or access grants are sent. Outdated documentation is flagged rather than treated as current policy.

View workflow ↓
How it works

Opens the exact approved listing, fills factual form fields, uploads the chosen CV and prepares the final submission for review. Once you authorize that application, it can submit and record the actual confirmation, keeping incomplete or blocked attempts separate from completed ones.

What it needs

The approved role, final CV and cover letter, accurate answers to required questions, and a clear submission boundary. Login details use the secure vault, not chat.

Example

Select one prepared application, review its answers and documents, authorize submission and receive the confirmation link or email reference.

Limits and approvals

A separate step from job-search preparation. Human-only checks, missing answers and new terms stop the flow. Do not infer blanket authority or mark an application sent without confirmation.

Try saying

How it works

Starts with your goal and a small calibration task, then prepares an explanation, contextual practice and a check of understanding. Uses the answers to select review material rather than assuming exposure means mastery.

What it needs

The subject, approximate level, learning goal and time available for each session.

Example

Practice a grammar pattern in a short passage, answer a few questions and revisit the errors in the next lesson.

What it needs

The book, your exact stopping point and the passage or question you want to discuss.

Example

After a difficult scene, reconstruct who is present and what each person knows using only material already read.

Limits and approvals

No later plot details. If the text or chapter boundary cannot be verified, you may need to provide the passage.

Try saying

What it needs

Your reading history or a few examples, current mood, preferred languages and length constraints.

Example

Choose an atmospheric novel for a busy week, with a longer immersive alternative for later.

Limits and approvals

Recommendations are judgments, not guarantees. Ownership, availability and whether you have already read a title must be checked.

Newsletter audio

Build a listening queue from publishers’ original audio instead of generating another narration.

View workflow ↓
How it works

Identifies articles in the approved newsletter inbox, locates each publisher’s existing audio and uses an authorized subscriber session where needed. Verifies that the selected article plays, then organizes private listening links or permitted files into a queue with duplicate detection.

What it needs

Selected newsletters, authorized publisher access and a destination for the listening queue. Sending files to another app requires a supported connection and your permission.

Example

Collect this week’s newsletters that already have audio and prepare a private listening list for your commute, without producing duplicate narration.

Limits and approvals

Original audio is not available for every article. Subscriber links and files remain private and subject to publisher terms. Automatic inbox triggers and listening-app transfer need their own successful tests.

Try saying

How it works

Reviews the previous basket and your feedback about leftovers or missing staples. Adjusts quantities and checks retailer options, producing a reviewable basket with substitutions and unresolved stock questions.

What it needs

Your retailer, household needs, budget and a short update on what ran out or accumulated.

Example

Reduce items left over last week, replenish the staples that ran out and review substitutions before checkout.

Limits and approvals

Dietary needs must be supplied. Checkout, payment and delivery-slot commitments require separate authorization.

Order problem checks

Catch a failed payment, cancellation or delivery change after checkout.

View workflow ↓
How it works

Reads the messages and confirmations for a specified order. Separates confirmed status from unresolved problems, links to the original notice and identifies the next action for you.

What it needs

An order reference and accessible confirmation emails or supplied messages. For repeat checks, agree the source, frequency and when to stop.

Example

A delivery confirmation is missing: check whether the merchant requested payment, cancelled the order or changed the delivery date before placing another order.

Limits and approvals

Coverage depends on accessible sources. A scheduled check is not instant monitoring or a guarantee of delivery. Do not pay, reorder or follow an unverified payment link without your review and authorization.

Try saying

What it needs

Booking confirmations, traveler requirements, destinations and dates. Supply sensitive details through secure routes when necessary.

Example

Combine hotel and train confirmations, identify an unplanned transfer and check the baggage rule for the booked fare.

Weekly training plan

Build a practical training week and a simple workout tracker that fits how you log.

View workflow ↓
How it works

Uses your stated experience, equipment and available time to prepare sessions with exercises, sets, repetitions and rest. Builds a simple tracker with completion ticks and optional repetitions and weights, then revises the plan from sessions you actually recorded.

What it needs

Your goal, experience, equipment, available days and session length, plus professional restrictions. Choose which fields you want to log and where the record should be kept. Calendar access is optional.

Example

Create three 45-minute sessions and a phone-friendly tracker for sets, repetitions and optional weights, with a shorter alternative for busy days. Test that one recorded session survives closing and reopening before relying on it.

Limits and approvals

General fitness planning, not medical assessment or injury rehabilitation. Do not train through pain; professional restrictions take priority. A generated tracker is not an integration with another fitness app. Verify saving and history before relying on them; voice logging and measured progress are not assumed. Calendar changes and recurring reviews require authorization.

Try saying

Workout progress review

Use completed sessions to decide what to keep, simplify or review in your next training week.

View workflow ↓
How it works

Reads the workout log you provide and compares completed sessions, repetitions and loads with the intended plan. Summarizes consistency and trends, flags missing entries, and proposes conservative adjustments for review. Can prepare a weekly summary in your chosen document or training log when authorized.

What it needs

A workout log with dates and completed sets or repetitions, the current plan and your feedback about effort and recovery. Agree the review period and destination; missing sessions are unknown, not automatically skipped.

Example

Review four weeks of recorded sessions, identify which exercises are consistently completed and suggest simplifying a session that repeatedly runs over time.

Limits and approvals

A log is not a clinical assessment or proof of physical change. Missing measurements cannot establish strength gains or body-composition changes. Do not recommend increasing loads through pain; seek qualified advice for symptoms. Writing to another app or setting a recurring review needs authorization.

Try saying
